Here’s a quick snapshot of my background and how I made my way here.

I’ve been working in the legal field since graduating from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota, where I earned my degree in Criminal Justice with a focus in Paralegal Studies. While I initially intended to pursue a path directly within the criminal justice system, like many, I found myself on a different journey within just a few months. That path led me to litigation, and I was hooked.

I knew early on that arguing motions or standing in front of a judge wasn’t for me (just the thought made me nervous!). Becoming an attorney was off the table, but I quickly discovered that my true passion lies in the behind-the-scenes work of litigation. Supporting the process is where I thrive. The paralegal role wasn’t just a good fit, it was a calling.

My paralegal approach is rooted in clear communication, strong collaboration, and finding the most effective path to accurate results. Over the course of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to support attorneys working in both state and federal courts, on matters ranging from small cases to complex class actions and multi-district litigation. These experiences have given me a deep, practical understanding of the litigation process and a strong sense of what attorneys need most when they’re juggling demands.

Today, with over two decades of hands-on experience, I still find real fulfillment in helping attorneys move cases forward with confidence and trust. I’m not just task-oriented, I anticipate next steps, stay engaged in strategy and drive case progress efficiently.

On a personal note, I love watching and attending sporting events, traveling to and exploring new places, enjoying live music, and getting lost in a good book. I'm a proud mom, stepmom, dog mom, and a brand new Nonna! What I cherish most is spending meaningful time with my family and friends.

~ ParaOne Legal was born ~

As I looked ahead in my career, I knew I wanted to continue doing the work I love while also being present for the people and moments that matter most to me outside of work. Alongside that, I wanted to create something with intention.

In my early years of experience, I saw firsthand how much solo and small-firm attorneys poured into building their practices. It’s personal and it’s hard earned. I’ve always been struck by how vulnerable it must feel to bring someone into that space and hand off work that represents your name, your reputation and your livelihood. That realization stayed with me and it became the foundation for something more.

Many of my years were spent on the defense side of civil litigation. That experience gave me a close look at how cases are structured, how strategies unfold, and where preparation makes all the difference. It also gave me insight into the challenges attorneys face when they don’t have the same level of resources as larger firms. I knew that knowledge could serve another purpose: helping solo and small-firm attorneys bring their best case forward without carrying the full weight alone.

With that in mind, I created ParaOne Legal Services, LLC: a service that not only supports attorneys with their growing demands but also honors the trust it takes to let someone in. My goal is to be the kind of partner attorneys can rely on when they need support but aren’t ready to hire a full-time, or even part-time, employee.
